Motive of Maharashtra’s Essential Kit Scheme
In this scheme, approximately 13 essential household items like bed sheet, water purifier of 18 litre, sugar box, one cooker, winter blanket, plastic sheet, etc are added. The main motive behind the launch of the scheme is to raise the standard of living of construction workers. When they get these items free of cost from the government, then their money will be saved, which they can save for their future.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only a permanent resident of Maharashtra is eligible for the scheme
- Maharashtra-registered construction workers are eligible for the scheme.
- Applicant should be registered with MAHABOCW.
- The age of the applicant should be in between 18 years to 60 years.
- A person who works as a construction worker for 90+ days in the last 12 months is eligible.

HIKIT MAHABOCW Essential Kit Appointment Online
- For an appointment, workers have to visit the official website of MAHABOCW:- mahabocw.in
- On the homepage, select the option of essential kit distribution.
- Now enter the construction worker registration number. You will receive OTP on your registered mobile number. Login with OTP.
- Select the camp location where you can receive your essential household items kit.
- Now check the date and book your appointment according to your preference. If your date is available, then select and submit your application.
- Now, provide all the information and upload the documents that are needed to complete the registration.
- After the completion, download the receipt for future reference.
How to collect the essential kit?
- When your appointment is confirmed then you have to attend the camp for collection.
- In case your appointment is missed for any reason, the re-appointment option is available.

Offline Process
- Construction workers who are not able to apply online can visit the assistant commissioner’s office, and collect the application form.
