The Telangana Government has started a new welfare scheme for women called the (Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme). This scheme is also known by the name (Intintiki Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme), which means “Indiramma sewing machine in every house”. In simple words, this is a (Telangana Sewing Machine Scheme) where the government is giving free automatic sewing machines to poor and needy women so they can earn money by doing tailoring work from their own home.
Intintiki Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme
This scheme was officially launched on 13 August 2026 by BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Under this scheme, 1.19 lakh sewing machines will be given in the first phase across all 119 Assembly constituencies of Telangana. Every constituency is getting 1,000 machines. Each machine cost is around Rs. 12,000, but the government is giving it under 100 percent subsidy, means the woman does not have to pay a single rupee from her pocket.

The main aim of this scheme is very simple, government wants BC (Backwards Classes) women to become self-employed and financially strong. Many women already know tailoring work but they don’t have money to buy a good sewing machine. This scheme is solving that problem directly by giving machine free of cost.
