The Government of West Bengal has started a new welfare scheme called Annapurna Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women will get a monthly financial help of Rs. 3,000 directly in their bank account. The scheme was officially started on 1 June 2026 all across West Bengal.

Eligibility Requirements for Annapurna Yojana

• The woman must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Only women can apply – men are not eligible for this scheme.
• The age of the applicant must be between 25 years and 60 years.
• The applicant must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account for receiving DBT.
• Existing Lakshmir Bhandar beneficiaries may be moved to Annapurna Yojana automatically.
• Government employees, pensioners, and income tax payers are not eligible.
• Women who are not permanent residents of West Bengal cannot apply.
