Students Bicycle Distribution Scheme West Bengal 2026 Under Sabooj Sathi, Eligibility

A very popular scheme of the West Bengal state government under which the state government distribute Bicycles to the students of the state. This scheme is called the West Bengal Sabooj Sathi Students Bicycle Distribution Scheme. Every year total of 40 Lakhs or above students will get the benefits of the scheme. All the students who are in IX to XII  and enrolled in all the Government, government-aided schools or Madrasahs will be eligible to get the benefits scheme. Firstly Scheme was introduced in September 2015.

There was a scheme with the name of Bicycle Distribution Scheme, which was launched by the CM of the state and announced by the Finance Minister of the state in 2015. Under this scheme government is going to distribute Free bicycles to all the students who are studying from class 9^th to 12^th in any government or government-aided school. Distribution Process of a Bicycle

• First of all, the record of the students will be entered on the Sabooj Sathi through online mode by every school.
• The process can be completed by the Sub Inspector of the school, Additional District and District Inspectors of the school.
• The Delivery points will be created by the BDO and then finalised delivery point-wise for Boys’ and Girls’ bicycles.
• The supplies of the cycle will also be given through the Sabooj Sathi Portal.
• All the schools can check the distribution record by logging in to the Portal. Then the students can also check the distribution record on the Sabooj Sathi Portal on Real real-time basis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Permanent citizen of West Bengal.
• Both Girls and Boys Students of the state are eligible to receive a Bicycle.
• Students must be studying between IX to XII classes.
• You must be enrolled in Government, Government-aided, Madrasahs or Equivalent schools. 
• The age of the students is from 13 to 18 years.

How to Apply For Students Bicycle Scheme West Bengal?

• Only the eligible students with the help of their enrollment in the school will be enrolled on the scheme. Students cannot apply for this scheme directly.  So, take the help of your school.
• Then, school officials collect the records of the students and upload them to the Sabooj Sathi Portal.
• Then verification will be done by the Concerned District, Block Level Officials.
• After completing the verification, the distribution of the bicycle will be made at designated points. The distribution data will be available on the Sabooj Sathi Portal.
