The prime target of Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana is those sectors where physical mobility is less required but intellectual capability is more needed. Eligibility Criteria
Now you must be thinking that who can apply for this scheme? The eligibility criteria is not very tough, but you have to meet some basic criteria:
- You must be an Indian citizen with valid proof like Aadhar card or Voter ID card.
- You should have 40% or more disability as per the certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer or authorized hospital.
- You must have Unique Disability ID (UDID) number, which is mandatory these days for all disability schemes.
- Age should be above 18 years for most of the course. However for some special course, age limit may be relax.
- For educational loan or higher course under this scheme, you should have passed minimum 12th standard.
- Economically Weaker Section will get priority in selection.
