Recently, our Honourable Chief Minister of the State, Mamata Banerjee, has announced another very good and result-yielding plan called the Bekar Bhata Scheme, which is also known as the Yuva Sathi Yojana. The main purpose of implementing this Scheme is to provide financial assistance to young boys and girls who have completed their education but have still not got employment. Under this Scheme, the State Government is ready to offer Rs. 1500 per month to the students who have registered for the Scheme. It has been stated by the Finance Minister, Chandrima Bhattacharya, the Scheme will be implemented from 15th August 2026, but that would depend on the results of the elections.
Bekar Bhata Scheme 2026
Government has planned to invest 5000 crore rupees for the implementation of this scheme, which reflects their seriousness towards the unemployment problem. Some of the people are confused between the old scheme Yuvasree and the new scheme named Bekar Bhata Scheme. In the old scheme, the age was ranging from 18 years to 45 years, whereas in the new scheme, Yuva Sathi Yojana, the age limit goes from 21 years to 40 years. Moreover, the qualifiers need at least class 10 pass, which was not that selective earlier. - Madhyamik (Class 10) Admit Card or Pass Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card for identity proof.
- Ration Card / Voter ID as Address Proof.
- Recent Passport Size Photograph in JPG format below 500 KB.
- Proof for educational qualification is provided by the 10th Class Marksheet
- Work Experience Certificate, in case you have any work experience.
- CV/Resume in PDF format, size less than 200 KB.
- Mobile number which is linked with your Aadhaar.
- Email ID for receiving notifications.

Eligibility Criteria For This Scheme
Not everyone is eligible to apply for this Yuva Sathi Yojana. The conditions that need to be fulfilled are:
- Your age has to be between 21 years to 40 years.
- You must have passed at least Class 10 (Madhyamik) examination.
- You need to be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
- Must be unemployed at the time of application.
- You should not be receiving any other government unemployment allowance.
- All caste groups, including General, SC, ST, and OBC, are eligible to apply.
- Both male and female candidates can apply for the Bekar Bhata Scheme.
- Both options are available whether the person is married or unmarried.
- You must have a valid mobile number and email address.
- It is recommended that you register yourself in the Employment Bank of West Bengal.
How to Avail Bekar Bhata Scheme 2026?
If you are looking to apply for this scheme, you have to follow the below steps. I am mentioning these steps step by step so that you can understand it easily.
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
First, you open Google Chrome in your mobile or computer. Then type “Employment Bank” in the search box, search it. You will see first link coming, you click that. Alternatively, you can open this page directly by clicking on https://employmentbankwb.gov.in/
Step 2: New Enrollment
When website open, you look top right side. There you can see a button saying ‘New Enrollment Job Seeker’. You click on it. Then some conditions will come. You read it properly and then click ‘Accept and Continue’.
Step 3: Fill in Personal Details
Now the form will come. You fill your details carefully:
- Your Name
- Write your Name in CAPITAL LETTERS
- Father’s name also write
- If you are married then write spouse name otherwise leave
- Select your Gender – Male or Female
- Select your Caste – General, SC, ST or OBC as per your caste
- Religion – Hindu, Muslim etc.
- Marital status – Married or Unmarried
- Date of Birth – use Day/Month/Year format
- If you are physically handicapped or ex-serviceman then tick Yes otherwise No
Step 4: Address Details
Now it is your turn to write your full address:
- Village or Town name
- Post Office Name
- District – Select your district from dropdown
- Subdivision
- Block or Municipality
- PIN Code
- You also have to fill in which is the nearest Employment Exchange Office to your house.
Step 5: Contact and Identification Information
Give your 10-digit Mobile Number: this is crucially important.
- Email ID if any.
- Aadhaar number-Please write properly
Step 6: Educational Details
- In qualification select Madhyamik/Matric Pass
- Choose your board name, such as West Bengal Board of Secondary Education
- Write the year you passed.
- Write your % of marks.
- Here, in case you have studied more, you can click “Add New” and add those details also.
Step 7: Language and Other Details
- Select the language known: Bengali, English, etc. tick what you can read, write and speak.
- Height, Chest, Weight- if known, write, otherwise leave it/
- Upload your Photo – the format should be JPG with a size less than 500 KB
- If you wish, you can upload a CV, but it is optional (file size is under 200 KB)
- If you have any work experience, fill the details; else, no need to do anything.
Step 8: Residence Proof and Final Submission
- Select which document you wish to give as residence proof like Aadhaar Card
- Write that document number
- Are you BPL? Select Yes or No
- See the security code written in picture and type same in box
- Tick the declaration box
- Then click Submit button
Step 9: Upload Documents
After submitting the basic form, one has to upload some documents:
- Madhyamik Admit Card or Birth Certificate
- Aadhaar Card (if you selected this option)
- 10th Mark
- Remember that all documents should be:
- Only in JPG format
- Its size is in between 20 KB to 200 KB.
- After uploading each document, click the Upload button.
Verification Process
After you submit everything, your details will be checked by Employment Exchange Office people. If everything is correct, then within 7 to 8 days, you will get SMS in your mobile with your User ID and Password.
How to Check Bekar Bhata Application Status?
To check your Yuva Sathi Yojana application status, go to the Employment Bank website and click on the “Track Status for Enrollment and Yuvashree” option. Then enter your Application ID and security code and click submit. You can see that your application is approved or pending.
