School Innovation Marathon (SIM) last year’s performance is very impressive. From all the India, 54415 schools participated. With this, 103904 Teachers, 192508 Teams, and 667032 Students also became a Part of that event. There are 101331 ideas shared and implemented on this platform. The registration process for the School Innovation Marathon 2025 has started online. This is India’s largest school-level innovation challenge organised under the Atal Innovation Mission of Niti Aayog. This program works under the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the Department of School Education and Literacy. With the help of this program, students are invited to join this marathon to identify community problems, create imagination and then develop an innovative solution on a particular topic.
School Innovation Marathon 2025
In the School Innovation Marathon 2025-26, students have to identify real-world community problems and then develop solutions to those problems with the help of innovations. These problems are targeted at a specific topic or theme. The program will run from July 2025 to January 2026. Students from all over India are invited to join this program and identify real-world problems.
After identifying the problem, student have to develop innovative solutions according to their mind and their creativity. This program also helps students to develop problem-solving skills. स्कूल इनोवेशन मैराथन (SIM) 2025-26 के लिए ऑनलाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन की प्रक्रिया जारी है. इस प्रोग्राम में कक्षा 6 से लेकर 12वीं तक के विद्यार्थी भाग ले सकते हैं. यह प्रोग्राम अटल इन्नोवेशन मिशन नीति आयोग द्वारा शुरू किया गया है जिसे की मिनिस्ट्री आफ एजुकेशन इनोवेशन सेल एवं यूनाइटेड नेशन चिल्ड्रन फंड के साथ डिपार्मेंट आफ स्कूल एजुकेशन एंड लिटरेसी के अंतर्गत कार्य कर रहा है. पूरे भारतवर्ष से छात्र इस प्रोग्राम में भाग लेने के लिए आवेदन कर रहे हैं.
इस में रजिस्ट्रेशन करने के लिए स्कूल के शिक्षक schoolinnovationmarathon.org आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर जाकर आवेदन कर सकते हैं. आवेदन की पूरी प्रक्रिया संक्षेप में समझाई गई है जिससे कि आवेदनकर्ता शिक्षक को कोई भी परेशानी ना हो. इस प्रोग्राम को शुरू करने का मुख्य उद्देश्य छात्रों को आम जीवन में होने वाली परेशानियों को समझने एवं उनका समाधान निकालना के लिए निपुण करना है. वास्तविक जीवन में आने वाली समस्याओं को पूरी तरह से समझना एवं फिर उसके लिए एक सटीक एवं उपयोगी समाधान निकालना ही इस प्रोग्राम का मुख्य उद्देश्य है. इस प्रोग्राम से छात्रों में संयुक्त काम करने का भाव भी पैदा होगा.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students from classes 6th to 12th are eligible to participate.
- If you want to participate in a team, then the team may consist of 2 to 3 students, with one teacher mentor required in each team. Individual participation is not allowed.
- Students of both ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) schools and non-reality schools are eligible.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams for a school in a particular state.
- Teams that want to participate in this program must work on real-life problems, complete their project and submit by the deadline.
- This program is open to all school-going students from all over India.
School Innovation Marathon Teacher Registration
- For registration, you have to go to: schoolinnovationmarathon.org.
- On the home page, you will see the register and login buttons.
- New users have to click on the register button. On the next page school teacher registration page will be open.
- In this page, firstly, you have to enter the School UDISE Code, agree to the terms and privacy and then proceed.
- Now the school teacher registration form will be open. In this form, all the details like state name, District, Mandal, pin code, school name, school address School Board details have to be filled by the applicant teacher, and then click on the proceed button.
- On the next page of enter the applicant name, gender, email ID and password, mobile number and WhatsApp number. Then click on the sent OTP button.
- After receiving OTP, and it into the website and click on the verify my account. After verification, you will get a congratulatory message on your screen.
School Innovation Marathon Login
- Now, the next thing you have to do is to log in to this website with your username and password. Click on the teacher login.
- Enter your email ID and password that you set at the time of profile creation.
- After successful sign-in, there is a complete list of registration steps. If you have to click on the start now process, then a few questions will be open on your screen.
- You have to give answers with your knowledge. There are approximately 12 questions.
- In the next part is the team creation. Teachers have to create a team and finalise the students who are going to participate in the School Innovation Marathon 2025-26.
- So with the help of this process, you can easily register your school students for this program.
Benefits and Rewards of Program
- Students who participate in this program will get a participation certificate.
- The top 20 teams of each state will get a special recognition certificate.
- Teams that perform very well and come in the top-performing teams will get funding from the Ministry of Education.

FAQ
Both Government and private, ATL and Non-ATL schools, government and private, Aided eligible to apply.
In many states, there are no restrictions on the number of teams from one school.
Normally, there are 2 to 3 students per team, in one team with one mental teacher.
There is no information about any application fee for the School Innovation Marathon.
After the registration top ideas will be selected and go to the national evaluation. All the participants will get a certificate, and the top teams will get an internship.
