Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4th edition will be going to held from 2nd of December 15th of December. This is an annual culture and educational exchange program which comes under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This is also a part of the Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat vision and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The aim behind Kashi Tamil Sangamam is to read, Discover, reaffirm, and also celebrate the ancient civilisation and intellectual bond between the Tamilnadu State and Kashi, located in Varanasi. These two places are India’s oldest centres of learning and culture.

This year, the special attraction of this event is the closing ceremony in Rameshwaram. This is the closing day and the start of Tamil Karpom. This will help North Indian students to learn the Tamil language in Tamilnadu. Like every year, IIT Madras and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the culture, railway, clothes and tourism ministry of India will help to launch this 4.0 as a noodle organisation.

  • The registration process for 4.0 is expected to start on 12 November 2025
  • This event’s duration is two weeks. Start from the second of December and close on the 15th of December.
  • Primarily in Kashi (Varanasi), including academic sessions, heritage tour, and cultural events at BHU. The closing ceremony will be held in Rameshwaram on the 15th of December.

Eligibility Criteria For Participants

Interested participants from Tamilnadu and Pondicherry in some prior editions, who want to participate in this event and contribute to culture and intellectual exchange, are requested to read the eligibility criteria.

  • Applicant should be a permanent resident of Tamilnadu.
  • Age of the applicant is 18 +. The youth of the state will be encouraged in all categories.
  • There are 200 spots available in every category. The main categories are students and teachers, writers and media personnel, agriculture and allied sectors, artists and professionals, women empowerment and cultural roles, spirituality Scholars and add startups, researchers and Edu-Tech, innovators.
  • Valid ID proof, like an Aadhar card, used at the time of registration.
  • You should have an email ID, mobile number, and a free schedule for the next 8 to 10 days, including 2 to 4 days for travel..
  • This program is also applicable for up and especially in Varanasi and youth who want to show their cultural heritage in Tamilnadu.

  • 3rd day: Cultural events and performances, temple Darshan in the morning, heritage walk and Artisan meet in the afternoon and grand cultural night in the evening.
  • 4th Day: Visiting nearby sites in the morning and afternoon, preparation for validity and feedback.
