There is a very unique scheme launched by the state government of Assam, which is called the Assam Darshan Scheme. Announcement of this scheme is made by the Chief Minister of the state, Sarbananda Sonowal. At the time of launching this scheme, they also released a Budget of Rs 710 Crore. In this Scheme government provides the financial incentive for the upgradation of the religious places of the state. Assam Darshan Scheme
The scheme was formally launched on 24th February 2025 by the CM of the state. Under this scheme government gives grants to the religious institutions of the state and having the aim of upgrading the infrastructure of the religious places of the state. Every religious place will going to get Rs 10 lakhs each. In which 915 religious institutions are going to get the benefits of the scheme.
Apart from the above, in the 2nd phase of the scheme, the government is also going to promote the 316 Tourist destinations and picnic spots of the state.

Objective of Assam Darshan
The main objective of the scheme is to preserve and upgrade the spiritual and heritage of the state by providing funding to the religious places like Temples, Satras and Mosques of the state. Every religious place will get the financial funding for the road connectivity improvement and to enhance the other facilities of the temples for the devotees and tourists. The government is going to invest a total of 3,000 in religious places and cultural institutions of the state.

- Financial Budget: The Government is also going to invest a total budget of Rs 732 Crore. In which each of the places will get Rs 10 lakhs.

Assam Darshan Scheme Registration
This is the infrastructure development program that was started by the state government of Assam.
