A new scheme has been launched by the state government of Odisha, called the ‘Bidhayak Medha Samman Yojana’. This scheme is launched to strengthen education all over Odisha. With the help of this scheme, the government recognised and then rewarded the school for its academic excellence, which also improved the school’s performance and reduced its dropout rate.
Bidhayak Medha Samman Yojana
From time to time government make so many efforts to improve the education quality in the state. So now the state government of Odisha is also taking an effort to strengthen the education system in the state at the Constituency Level. That’s why the government launched the Bidhayak Medha Samman Yojana. With the help of this scheme government encourages schools to improve their academic performance and also reduce the dropout rate of the schools.
This scheme, i.e. Bidhayak Medha Samman Yojana, is introduced by the Higher Education Minister of Odisha, Mr Suryabanshi Suraj. By launching this scheme, they want to improve the overall quality of education at the Assembly Constituency Level.

Scheme Benefits
- Under this scheme, all students who secure an A1 Grade in class X exams will receive the Cash Award of Rs 5,000 each.
- For State-level science Exhibitions, cultural competitions and sports competitions, all the students who participate will also receive Rs 5,000 Cash each.
- All schools whose highest number of students received an A1 Grade in the X Examinations, and have the lowest dropout rate and with the highest enrollment of the school in the coming academic year, their Headmaster will going to receive a Cash Reward of Rs 10,000 each.
