CG Half Electricity Bill Scheme 2026 For First 200 Units, Avail Benefits From 1st December

In the state of Chhattisgarh, there is a new scheme implemented in the state. The name of this scheme is Chhattisgarh Half Bill Yojana 2026. From the 1st December 2025, the domestic consumers of the state will get cheap electricity. The official announcement about this scheme has been made by the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Saay. After the implementation of this scheme total of 36 Lakhs Domestic consumers will get direct benefits of the scheme. Previously, in this scheme, the unit was only providing the benefits for the first 100 units.

What is CG Half Electricity Bill Scheme 2026?

Scheme is going to provide the benefits from 1^st December 2025. In which all the domestic consumers who having the 200 to 400 unit consumption per month will get the benefits for next one year to pay the half bill for first 200 unit. In this category total 6 Lakhs consumers are going to get the benefits. The one year time limitation is for that, because government wants to provide the time to the people to installed the rooftop solar system in their houses at free of Cost. So that by generating the electricity at their homes, they can use for their future use.

In this scheme, you can save the monthly amount of Rs.800 to Rs.850. All the permanent residence of the Chhattisgarh state who are domestic consumer of the state will be eligible for the scheme.  

Objective of the scheme

After the implementation of the scheme, the domestic consumer will get the relaxation for the reduced electricity bill. The benefits is started from 1 December. This scheme is going to memorable scheme for the consumers of the state. In this scheme government extend the 200 units. All that consumers who consuming the electricity unit upto 400 unit will only pay half bill for the 200 first unit

CG Rooftop Solar System Scheme

In this scheme government also wants to encourage the people of the state to installed the rooftop solar system under Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana. With central government now state government also provide them separate subsidy for the same. If you installed the 1kW Solar system then you will 15,000 rupee subsidy and for 2Kw or more than that you will get 30 Thousand subsidy for the same.  

Features of CG Half Electricity Bill Scheme

• Reduce Bill:- With the help of this scheme government wants to reduced the burden of the electricity bill every month for one year.
• Pay Half bill upto 400 Unit: This scheme is providing the benefits to the consumers who consume upto 400 unit per month, will have to pay first 200 unit half bill.
• Installed Rooftop Solar System: Government also wants to encourage the  people to installed the rooftop solar system in their home.
• Subsidy: Government also provide the subsidy under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana which is for 1Kw of Rs.15,000 for 2Kw and above subsidy amount is Rs.30,000.
• Implemented From 1^st December:- Now this scheme is going to provide the benefits to the domestic consumers from 1^st December 2025 to till one year.

• Applicant must be registered electricity domestic consumers of the Electricity Department of the state.

How to Apply For Chhattisgarh Half Electricity Bill Scheme?

• Have to open the official website( as and when launched by the Government).
• Then you have to read all the links available on the home page and then have to click on the link of Half Electricity Bill Scheme Apply.
• After it, now have to click on Consumer Registration Link.
• Here you will see that the application form open in front of you.
• Have to enter the details and then upload the documents.
• Then check and submit it.
• In this way you complete the process.

CG Rooftop Solar System Installation Application Form

All that consumers who wants to installed the Rooftop solar system under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, will need to submit the separate application form for it.

• For this scheme you can apply through the official website of CG Government or using PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
• Here have to find the application form for Rooftop Solar system Installation.
• Enter your house details, your eligibility and the capacity of the solar system.
• Then select the Vendor and submit the same.
• After submission of the form, from the list, registered vendor will come at your house to verify the place where you wants to installed the same.
• Then they installed the solar systema and submit the report to government.
• Then subsidy amount will be given to you by credited the same in your account.
