Pongal Gift Scheme Puducherry
Recently, the state government of Puducherry, under the guidelines of the CM of the state, sanctioned the Distribution of Gifts. In this Pongal gift scheme, they provide the Grocery Kit with a free Bag. Beneficiaries of this scheme are all the Ration Card Holders. But if you are your government employee and possessing Honorary Ration Cards are not eligible for the scheme. In this kit total of 5 Grocery Items are available, which have a cost of Rs 750/-. So to provide these Pongal Gift kits, the government is going to benefit the 3.47 Lakhs Ration Card holders of the state.
Objective of Scheme
The main objective of launching this scheme is to bring cheer and enjoyment during the festival time in the state. The distribution of the Kits will be physical and can be obtained through the PDS Shops of the state.

Puducherry Pongal Gift Kits Distribution Date?
The items contained in the Food Hamper under this scheme will be distributed to all the eligible Ration holders of the state from 3rd January 2026.
How to receive Pongal Gift Kits from the Puducherry Government?
- The Distribution of these Free Gift Kits is made physically with the help of the PDS, i.e. Public Distribution System, through Government ration shops.
- So if you think that you are eligible for the scheme, then you have to bring your Ration Card with you and receive the Kit for you.

There is no need to apply for the scheme. If you are a ration card holder, then you automatically become a beneficiary of the scheme.
