This scheme is called ‘Assam Prerona Scheme’. The main motive to launch this scheme is to support all the 10th-class students during the exam period. Prerona Scheme Assam

All students who qualify for the eligibility criteria of the scheme will get a monthly stipend of Rs 300. This amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the students until they complete their Board examination. The monthly amount for the month of November has already been disbursed by the government. All the students will get this amount until the high school leaving certificate. The CBSE 10^th Class examination also concluded. We all know that the exam timeline is expected to peak in the month of February.

So now, with the help of this scheme, the government also wants to reduce the stress level of the students. • All the permanent citizens of the Assam State.
• Targeted beneficiaries of this scheme are only students of the state.
• This scheme applies to the students who are appearing in the 10^th class Assam State School Examination Board.
• Apart from the above, the students who are also studying in CBSE-affiliated Adarsha Vidyalayas are also going to get the same benefits.

NOTE: More than 4.4 Lakhs of the students are going to get the benefits of this scheme during the exam time.

Amount Disbursement and Duration

The amount of Rs 300 under this scheme will be disbursed to the students by transferring the amount directly to their savings bank account number. The scheme is providing the benefits from the month of November and providing the same till February 2026. I.e. the duration to provide the financial benefits of the scheme is about 4 months.
