UPPCL Electricity Bill Relief Scheme 2025-26: Apply Online, Eligibility

The Uttar Pradesh government is going to implement the Bijli Bill Rahat Yojana from December 2025. Under this scheme, domestic consumers, having a load up to 2 kW and commercial consumers, having a load up to 1 kW, will get a discount on their pending electric dues. The scheme will start operating from the first of December, and the last date to get the benefit of this scheme is the 28th of February 2026. Uttar Pradesh government and UPPCL will give you a discount of up to 25% on the principal amount and a 100% interest waiver. The department will also give you an option to pay your dues in easy monthly instalments for small outstanding dues.

Bijli Bill Rahat Yojana Uttar Pradesh

Recently, the UPPCL announced the Electricity Bill Relief Scheme for the defaulting consumers of the state. Here, UPPCL is known as Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. The name of the scheme is UPPCL Electricity Bill Relief Scheme 2025 (बिजली बिल राहत योजना). By launching this scheme, UPPCL provide a very big relief to all the consumers who haven’t paid the bill payment.

There are a total of 1.71 Crore consumers who are defaulter. The total unpaid bill amount is Rs 1.15 Lakhs Crore. Under this scheme, they covered the two types of consumers, i.e. Never Paid consumers and long Unpaid consumers. So to avail the benefits of this scheme, consumers have to complete the online registration on the official portal of the UPPCL, and a discount will also be given to the consumers. UPPCL Electricity Bill Relief Scheme 2025

To get the benefits under this scheme, every consumer will have to complete the registration. On the window of UPPCL, the registration will be done in three phases. i.e. First Phase of registration started from 1^st to 31^st December 2025, 2nd Phase registration started from 1st January to 31st January 2026, and the final and 3^rd Phase of Registration is available from 1st February to 28th February 2026.

Aim of the UPPCL Electricity Bill Rebate Scheme

With the help of the scheme, they provide different options to the consumers to pay back the recovery amount. The aim behind launching the scheme is to improve the revenue collection of the UPPCL and also reduce the Legal disputes. Apart from it, the scheme also encourages consumers to make the payment of the electricity bill on time. This is a progressive step for the energy department of Uttar Pradesh.

बिजली बिल राहत योजना 2025

बहुत जल्दी उत्तर प्रदेश में पहली दिसम्बर से बिजली बिल राहत योजना शुरू होने जा रही है. जिसमे की सभी बिजली उपभोक्ताओ को एक बहुत ही बड़ी राहत मिलने वाली है. यह योजना एक तरह से करोड़ो उपभोक्ताओ के लिए एक उपहार ही है. जिसमे की सभी लोगो को अपनी बकाया राशि को एकमुश्त या फिर किश्तों में देने का आप्शन है. इसमें आपको 100 प्रतिशत तक सरचार्ज और एकमुश्त राशी पर 25 प्रतिशत तक की छुट दी जाएगी.

Eligibility Criteria

• Domestic Consumer (2KW)
• Commercial Consumer (1KW)

Payment Options

All the eligible students who complete their registration, i.e. Domestic up to 2KW and Commercial LMV-2, have to pay the registration fee of Rs 2,000/-. Then, after completing the registration, you will get the payment option, i.e. One-time Full Payment or Monthly Instalment. After choosing the payment option, all the registered consumers also get 100 % waiver on the late payment surcharges.

• If you choose a monthly Instalment of Rs 750, then you will get a 10 % discount in all phases
• And a monthly instalment of Rs 500 will get 5% discount in all phases.

Consumer Targeted

AS I already told you that in this scheme, the UPPCL targeted the two categories of consumers, i.e. Never Paid consumers, i.e. over 54.12 Lakhs and Long Unpaid Consumers, i.e. 91.45 Lakhs. In this long, unpaid consumers are those consumers who haven’t paid the bill at the start of the current financial year, i.e. 2025-26.

Phase-Wise Discount

The registration in this scheme is available in 3 phases. The discount will also be available phase-wise. To get a discount, you have to complete the registration in the first phase.

• Consumers who want to avail the benefits under this scheme will register themselves after visiting the official website of www.uppcl.org.
• Or you can also complete your registration by visiting the Block Offices, CSC Centres, or Department Cash counter.
• Registration can be made through the phase-wise. So, for the first phase, you will be able to complete the registration from 1^st December 2025.
• The maximum Discount of up to 25% is given in the first phase.
• After visiting the portal, you have to fill out the registration form by entering your consumer number.
• Then have to pay the Registration Fee and then choose the payment option.
• Submit the details.
