The Veer Gatha project was launched by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. First time this project was started in the 2021-22 academic session for students. After that, it completed its 4th edition, and now the 5th edition is near completion. The Veer Gatha 5.0 notification was released in September 2025. After that, notices were issued to schools for participation. Entries will be received from the 1st of October to the 10th of November.
District-level evaluation will be conducted from the 11th of November to the 30th of November. State-level evaluation is going on from the 1st to the 11th of December 2025. Only the national level evaluation is pending, and it will start from the 12th of December to the 24th of December. When the evaluation process is completed, the Veer Gatha 5.0 Result will be forwarded to the department.

If you participated in Veer Gatha 5.0 and are waiting for the final result, then your wait will be over soon. The expected result date is January 2026. National level evaluation will be completed by the 24th of December, and the national results will be submitted to the Ministry of Education (MoE) by the 27th of December 2025. By the 30th of December 2025, the results will be forwarded to the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

What is Project Veer Gatha 5.0?
The Veer Gatha project aims to spread the stories of bravery and sacrifice of our gallantry award winners, ancient Indian Warriors and military traditions among school students. This will tell our school students about the bravery and sacrifice of our Indian soldiers and especially gallantry award winners.
With the help of poems, essay writing, paintings and other multimedia sources fosters patriotism, civic consciousness in students. When this project was started in 2021, 8 lakh people participated in this project. After that, it will increase every year in 2022-23, 19.5 Lakh, 2023-24, 1.37 Crore, in 2024-25, 1.76 crore students, and in 2025-26, more than 1.92 Crore students participated in this project.
